Samantha Richter, COO of the Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation (AHLF) interviews Mark Drawbridge of Hubbs Sea World Research Institute (HSWRI). Mark is the Senior Research Scientist and Director of the Sustainable Seafood Program at the Institute. HSWRI is a non-profit scientific research organization committed to conserving and renewing marine life to ensure a healthier planet.

The Institute began in 1963 when Milton C. Shedd, one of the visionary founders of SeaWorld, recognized the importance of developing and nurturing a non-profit research foundation with the vision “to return to the sea some measure of the benefits derived from it.” In 1995, the Leon Raymond Hubbard Jr. Marine Fish Hatchery was established in Carlsbad, CA, right on our very own Agua Hedionda Lagoon.
